Over the decades, we’ve seen entire families transformed as Campers return home with a heart to serve others first, and themselves second.

HISTORY

2000 – Nicolae Sili attends a conference where he gets the idea to organize a Christian camp. The first camp was organized in an Extreme format, in tents, in the woods, for 70 Campers, in village Boghiceni, 50 km south of Chisinau.

The counselors were seniors from the church in this village and during sports’ activities at camp, because they couldn’t jump and run with the kids, we realized we needed younger leaders in our staff.

The food was gathered from people in the town who wanted to lend a helping hand: somebody gave a bag of sugar, somebody – a chicken, others a bag of rice or polenta. As a means of transportation we had a wagon and a horse.

This year we got the vision to organize camps for children, teenagers and young people. Also, this year we organized our first winter camp with the participants from our previous summer camp and we started going to the orphanage located in Carpineni.

2001 – We organized 3 camps: one in Boghiceni, one in Petrovca and one in Vadul lui Vodă, for children from the Carpineni orphanage. Also, this year we gathered more young leaders, all over Moldova, that became members of our team.

2002 – Our first camp for seniors. We ran 11 summer camps and 10 daily winter camps in different regions of Moldova.

2003 -This year we organized 28 summer camps and 10 daily winter camps in different towns. Our team of volunteers grew a lot. We got our first vehicle – a Sprinter Bus.

2004  We organized 41 summer camps in the south, north and central part of Moldova. We also organized 21 daily winter camps. We started going with personal development projects in schools. Here we met a lot of kids who attended our camps.

2005 – 47 summer camps in 6 different regions and 30 daily winter camps.

2006: – 46 summer camps and 29 daily winter camps.

2007 – 48 summer camps and 28 daily winter camps.

2008 – 45 summer camps and 26 daily winter camps.

2009 – 43 summer camps and 27 daily winter camps.

2010 -2017 – Since 2010, we have consistently organized 35 summer camps and 28 winter camps.

OUR MISSION

At El-Sadai, we believe that Moldova’s greatest natural resource is our youth. Summer camp can be an incredibly effective time of growth for kids. El-Sadai’s summer camp program is dedicated to developing dynamic Christian leaders through life-changing experiences, Godly relationships, and spiritual training.

Since 2000, we’ve been showing kids the joy of a relationship with God through camping adventures, sports and mentoring. Foundational to our mission is the scripture: “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” (Collosians 1:28)

Coupling World-Class adventure along with hearts of servant-leadership, our staff of over 130 hand-picked mentors bring to your child nightly devotionals, counselor/camper time, youth (age appropriate) talks, and consistent Christian mentoring. It’s our greatest hope that your child will return home ready to take what they’ve learned here, and share it with the world around them.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

One True God

We believe the one true God has revealed Himself the eternally self-existent “I AM”, the creator of Heaven and Earth. (Genesis 1:1; Exodus 3:14; Isaiah 43:10 – 11)

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the “Image of the invisible God” and that in Him “all deity dwells in bodily form.” We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin, His literal bodily resurrection from the dead, His present ministry of intercession in Heaven, and His personal future return to the earth. (Colossians 1:15-22; I Thessalonians 4:16; 1 Peter 3:18)

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin and regenerates, indwells, seals, sets apart, and empowers believers for service and for holy living and a holy life. We believe that “God is at work within us both to will and work to His good pleasure” and that “He will continue to perfect us until the day of Christ Jesus.” (John 14:16; Romans 8:14, 16; Ephesians 1:13; Philippians 1:6; Philippians 2:13)

The Holy Trinity

We believe in the unity and trinity of the Holy Trinity existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. These three persons are One God having the same nature, attributes, and perfection. (Genesis 1:26; John 1:14, 15:26, 17:21; Ephesians 4:4-6)

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God but was separated from God by sin and shall be judged; and that only through the Blood of Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:22; Romans 3:23; Hebrews 9:27; Romans 5:12)

Salvation

We believe in salvation by grace, a free gift from God apart from works.  Salvation comes through repentance, a turning from one’s own way to God’s way, and accepting Jesus Christ in personal faith. (Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; John 1:12)

The Scriptures

We believe both the Old and the New Testaments of the Bible to be the inherrant, holy, Word of God, inspired in every part by the Holy Spirit.  The Bible is the revelation of God for the equipping of man and is the supreme and final authority of faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
